This painting is based on an AI rendering of Erykah Badu that I prompted. I really interpreted it as a character in this story of two women falling in love, this cosmic vision that our protagonist is having via the reflection we can see in the sunglasses is a testament to the universe conspiring in all of our favors. I employed the use of gold marker to give the details that extra pop. I wanted this one to split the difference between the super clean geisha and the super messy meanwhile so I approached her in that way, I think it turned out pretty well.
